> "Hard to believe this is 11 years old, seems very up-to-the-minute, especially with the Great Tribulation (once again) seemingly upon us. Really cool synth work. Much (all ?) of it seemed to be in 7/8, one of my favorite off-kilter time signatures."

Ah yes - From Necropolis With Love. The one everybody asks about. Just for the record, the dialogue was taken from a tape of a radio talk show that someone once sent me. It appeared to be an American show and seemed to date from the 1980s...beyond that I know nothing. Thought provoking stuff, though, and an incentive to opt for cremation when the time comes.

Considering that Morning Star was the first completed piece of music FSL produced, I feel I perhaps ought to have some recollection of the recording session...but all I really recall is several cassette machines linked up to a Casio keyboard with lots and lots of wires.
One cassette machine played a pre-recorded backing tape featuring the manic preacher [recorded from short wave radio] and various sound effects - yes, that is the Tardis taking off. BBC Radiophonic Workshop, we're forever in your debt.
The backing tape rolled, the keyboard and drum machinre played along with it live, and the whole thing was recorded onto a second cassette machine. I think the nearest thing to to mixing was to use the keyboard's volume control. On the whole, it came out remarkably well.
